Love is what unites us. Love has the ability to dissolve conflict and bring more peace into our hearts. Love supports healing, deepens relationships and even magnetizes more of what our heart desires.


Love though, I have learnt and now believe starts with loving yourself! 


Not loving yourself will send you in a whirlwind of self destructive thought patterns and behaviours which can affect all areas of your life.

Unfortunately most people tend to measure their worthiness and ability to love themselves from their outer world; based on their past experiences, from their accomplishments, material wealth, body image, level of success, relationships (or lack of), social status and so on.

Yes it feels good to have, belong and achieve and I’m not saying you shouldn’t strive for those things if it is what you want and if it makes you feel good. However, if your sense of worth and ability to love yourself is based on your outer conditions, then it is an illusion. This false idea will be an endless pursuit of empty validation which cannot be compared to a true sense of self-love.


Self-love is an inside job. 


Self-love is accepting and embracing all of who you are regardless of your past experience, stories or circumstances. It’s about setting healthy boundaries in all of your relationships and being in integrity with your Soul. It’s about nurturing yourself and your body. It is being able to forgive yourself and learn from past mistakes. It is knowing that deep down, you are enough.

And once you do start to get this core concept of self-love, all aspects of your life will naturally start to shift for the better! You will feel a sense of inner peace with who you are,


Self-love is essential for your health & wellbeing, spiritual growth, success in life and in attracting and maintaining healthy relationships. 

Just to clarify, self-love is NOT:

  • Narcissism
  • Being selfish
  • Feeding your ego
  • Saying Yes out of obligation
  • People pleasing
  • Vanity

To name a few things.

Here’s a question for you to ponder on:

“Where are you not being so loving with yourself?” 

Are you not caring for your health so much these days?

Have you been allowing other people to use you or abuse you?

Is there someone that perhaps is time you let go?

Or maybe you are constantly being critical with yourself?

Do you need to forgive yourself for some past mistake?

Have you been saying yes and people pleasing when you actually want to say no?

When was the last time you treated yourself to something you love?

Write your insights, decide on what needs to change, set your intentions & start taking action. So as Valentine’s day approaches, whether you are in a relationship or single, remember that..


The most important person you need to love is you!
