Do you know what is the one thing that can transform your reality, struggles and love blocks?Your perception. That’s it.
Transformation is a change in perception.
Often how we perceive our reality is based on our past experiences, we are therefore wired to see things a certain way. If there are un-healed heart wounds associated with some past experiences, it can bring up old emotions as and when this gets triggered in our current reality.
When emotions get triggered, this is an opportunity for you to look deeper into yourself. Life shows you exactly what you need to work on.
Your struggles, blocks and difficulties are opportunities for you to go within.
I know how difficult it can be when you are emotionally un-balanced to go within and try to see the deeper meaning or a new perspective of the situation.
We often identify with these strong and painful emotions, being completely “emotionally-hijacked” in that moment unable to see anything else but the pain we feel.
So here are seven steps you can take when you do feel overwhelmed or slightly off-balance emotionally:
1. Allow yourself to feel whatever it is you are feeling.
This may take a few days, and that’s ok. Don’t judge yourself and really make an effort to just allow the emotions to surface. Just be aware of it and how you feel.
2. Journal about what you are feeling.
This must be hand-written. This is a great way to allow your subconscious to express itself since your handwriting is directly linked to your subconscious. Get all those thoughts on paper instead of letting them go round and round in your head.
3. Go for a walk in nature, get grounded again to Mother Earth
When we are emotionally hijacked we can get stuck in our head, over thinking (which doesn’t help the situation). Bring that energy down and reconnect to the Earth. Grounding is so important in keeping us balanced emotionally and mentally.
4. Use some essential oils to support you
Essential oils can really help you release and process your emotions as well as support you through any situation you are going through. I use essential oils daily to support me and truly swear by them! Contact me if you would like help with something specific.
5. Move your body
Exercise, yoga, box, dance, stretch, shake whatever suits you.. just get your body moving. This can really help you channel any stuck energy and release stuck emotions.
6. Look at the situation from a different perspective
Once you are more balanced, take some time to actually sit and meditate on this block / issue or struggle. Imagine you are looking at the situation from above, then look at it from the point of view of the other people involved. Ask yourself “what can I learn from this situation?” or “What is the positive lesson here for me?” Make sure you get a positive learning, and chose to see it from this new lighter and more empowering perspective.
7. And if you’re really struggling get some help
Whether it is a friend for a shoulder to cry on, counsellor, psychologist, therapist, healer or a support group, reach out if you are not able to go through it alone.
