Aromatherapy Quick Tips
September 9th, 2013
Essential Oils are basically highly concentrated aromatic plant essences which are used in 'Aromatherapy'. 'Aroma' can be described as "fragrance" a distinctive and pleasing smell, so technically yes it is 'smell therapy'.
Our sense of smell is strongly associated with the limbic system in the brain which is directly linked to our senses which can affect our moods and memory. Hence smells are very personal and powerful, therefore a specific smell can bring back either good or bad memories of past experiences.
Aromatherapy has been used for centuries for the treatment of the mind, body and spirit.. and "No, you do not have to be ill to use essential oils".
As I mentioned in my previous blog, everything is energy. Energy vibrates a frequency and every living thing has a frequency. Each essential oil has its specific frequency vibration hence giving them their individual therapeutic properties. Burning certain oils at home can not only create a pleasant ambient in the house but also uplift your mood. This way you can create a home that vibrates positive energies to benefit both you and your family.
Regardless of your religion or culture essential oils are a perfect way to uplift your mood and cleanse the energy of your house. I am not going to go into too much detail into every oil and in-depth scientific explanation about how all the other ways essential oils work as there are many books available containing a lot of information on aromatherapy and essential oils, therefore the below is just the basic to help you all get started on changing the vibration or creation of a pleasant ambient within your home:
